A native of Duluth, MN, Anastasia Verdoljak graduated 2009 with a B.A., majors in music & biology from Macalester College, St. Paul, studying violin and abroad in Vienna. Obtaining her K-12 instrumental music teaching license in 2014, she continued at Augsburg University, Minneapolis, until 2017 for her Master of Arts in Education. For 8 years, Anastasia taught grades 3-8 string ensemble at City of Lakes Waldorf School, directed a high school co-curricular string ensemble, maintained a private violin/viola studio and was faculty for DVCC Performing Arts Camp for 9 summers. In 2019, she began directing grades 6-8 orchestra at Sandburg Middle School and teaching sectionals at Plymouth Middle School in Robbinsdale Area Schools. She is a participating member of professional organizations, including Minnesota Music Educators Association/NAfME and Minnesota String & Orchestra Teachers Association/ASTA. Her other endeavors include performing with Ethnic Dance Theatre since 2014, action work with ISAIAH, gardening and running.
