Tais Szilagi

Tais is a NYC based educator and performer. Tais served as the music director of Creative Coexistence (CreaCo), the choir and drama director of DVCC Performing Arts camp and as faculty at Belle Arti Center for the Performing Arts, Rome Piano Studio, Music on the Go, Willan Academy of Music and Pine Street Music. Performance highlights include: Off-Broadway: Truffles: A  Jazz Murder Mystery (Olga Donati), and Cause and Affliction (Taylor). Opera: Falstaff (Meg Paige), L’enfant et les Sortileges (L’enfant), Rigoletto (Maddalena) at Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts and Les contes d’Hoffmann (Nicklausse) with the Martina Arroyo Foundation. Tais released a pop single “Flowers Falling” with Joma Music Inc. which Norman Lebrecht called a “cooler aria”. New music highlights include, New Dramatists Composer-Librettist studio, Roger Ames’ bilingual opera En Mis Palabras (Equity Fights Aids Fundraiser)  and the International Electro-Acoustic Music Festival. Tais is a graduate of the Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College (B.M. in Vocal Performance) and The Sydney Drama School (Advanced Camera Technique).
